Can anyone recommend these phones. How are they compared to say the MDR-EX85's or Sennheiser CX300's. Are they worth the extra $$$?

Bump!!!

I tried out two sets of EX90's, they sound great but the angled driver housing may be too uncomfortable for you, it was for me......SQ was better than that of the CX300's, but not much isolation.

I love mine; am about to buy an extra pair.

Thanks Superbaldguy and the wizard of oz. I actually find the EX82/EX85's quite comfortable......looking for an improvement in bass responce and general sq.

Your answer to the improved SQ question, with a little help from j-dawg on the Audio T-Board

Although I have not done this particular mod to my EX90s yet, I understand though that it not only improves the isolation and bass on them but also brings the mids an trebles closer to the bass on them.

It is as simple as the volume/EQ hacks on the EU-market MD Walkmen, if you use caution and a little bit of patience

Thanks for the heads up on the mod BIGHMW. Surprising what a simple but effective customization can do. Have you tried this your self?

Nope, I have not (yet) done this mod myself, as I get very uneasy about doing mods on units (except "Euro-crippled" Walkmen for their volume hack) for the fear of making a mistake and messing it up permanently, plus the bass is already good on them (after burn-in), as I have owned these IEM's for over a year now, but maybe I will soon.

Just picked up a pair of these this afternoon and looking forward to testing them out.
