I've been a MD user for quite a long time, since the mid-90's, but have used Sonic Stage little and need your expertise in creating a compilation disk.

On my computer is a folder containing 820 music files in 234 folders. These are not complete albums, but selected songs. The ripper created two directories, artist: album: songs.

When I load these into SS, I would like the files to belong to one group (or one album), but I'm afraid that instead I'll get around 200 folders tagged by artist or album.

Is there an easy way to batch load these files into one folder/one album/one group in SS?

Thank you for your help and if I haven't explained something clearly, please do ask for clarification.

There's a check box in the properties of tracks. I often end up clearing it. If you select all the tracks being uploaded, and it doesnt do what you want, try changing it (set or clear as the case may be). It says something like "track is part of compilation".

I'm afraid that there isn't.
